Our 24th Annual Summer Conference on Obstetrics & Gynecology has been designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who face ever-increasing challenges in the clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in caring for the female patient. The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based, and practical information to participants.

You are sure to enjoy our 24th Annual Summer Conference on Obstetrics & Gynecology while sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the country in the beautiful setting of the Big Island.

Aloha! Hawaii’s Big Island isn’t just big, it’s still growing. The Big Island of Hawaii is the youngest island in the Hawaiian chain and is also by far the biggest, providing a vast canvas of environments to discover a variety of unrivaled natural wonders. This is the home of one of the world’s most active volcanoes (Kilauea), the tallest sea mountain in the world at more than 30,000 feet (Mauna Kea), the largest by volume volcano in the world (Mauna Loa) and the largest park in the state (Hawaii Volcanoes National Park). All but two of the world’s climate zones generate everything from lush rain forests to volcanic deserts, snow-capped mountaintops to beautiful black sand beaches on the island.

Widely recognized as a pacesetter in historic preservation and stewardship of the land, the beautiful Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows beckons visitors with its unparalleled spirit of place. Guests of the hotel are invited to join in daily activities and personally experience the history and culture of Hawaii.

Learn to play a ukulele, weave a coconut frond basket, dance the hula, hike through Hawaii’s largest petroglyph field or relax on the beach and watch the “honu” basking in the sun. This luxury beach resort offers a myriad of experiences to discover.

The Shops at Mauna Lani is the resort shopping center to visit on the Kohala Coast and is situated in the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows. The center is anchored by the island’s only Tommy Bahama Restaurant and retail store, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Foodland Farms Market. The Shops at Mauna Lani also features amazing weekly Polynesian hula shows – complete with fire dancing! There is also a variety of cultural activities throughout the week.

Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows is also home to the luxurious Mauna Lani Spa. Inspired by the geographic beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, this luxury spa is the perfect venue for a relaxing spa vacation.

Whatever your pleasure, you’ll be sure to find it in Hawaii, at our 24th Annual Summer Conference on Obstetrics & Gynecology.
