CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
This year's Emergencies in Primary Care conference is designed to provide primary care providers with evidence-based information on commonly encountered office and hospital emergency dilemmas and suggest current approaches to clinical management. In addition to didactic lectures, ample time has been allotted for participant feedback and interaction.

Content for this year's conference has been selected based on past participant requests, clinical expert input, literature review, current practice guidelines, as well as our online needs assessment surveys of primary care and emergency medicine health care professionals.

Our outstanding faculty has been selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability to communicate first-hand knowledge to others, and their commitment to address issues of current concern to attendees.

Incorporate recent advances in the treatment of common emergencies, including sedation, fever, airway management, head trauma, bites and envenomation into your practice

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
Physicians
Symposia Medicus designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 12.00 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Application has been made with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).

Physician Assistants
The Academy of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Nurse Practitioners / Nurses
The ANCC contact hours awarded for the completion of this educational activity is 12.

Provider is also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP2335, for 14.4 contact hours.

Pharmacology Credit for Prescriptive Authority
A maximum of 2.25 hours in pharmacology credit for prescriptive authority may be earned by attending this educational conference. Sessions awarding pharmacology credit for prescriptive authority are denoted with an Rx in the schedule.

Each participant should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Certificates of completion/credit will be given to participants on-site at the conclusion of the conference.
