CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
Our 26th Annual Fall Conference on Obstetrics has been designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who face ever increasing challenges in clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in taking care of the pregnant patient.

The goal of this conference is to present a comprehensive update and review on current clinical topics related to treating the obstetric patient. Emphasis will be placed on practical application on evidence-based topics. In addition to the didactic lectures and smaller group sessions, which will present current diagnostic and management information, ample time has been allotted for participant feedback and interaction.

Topics in this year's conference have been selected based on extensive target audience needs assessment data, including clinical expert input, obstetrics practice guidelines, and past participant suggestions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Presenters were selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability to communicate first-hand knowledge to others in a clear and concise manner, their commitment to address issues of current concern, and their willingness to interact with participants.

Three morning didactic sessions and an afternoon of interactive round-table sessions leave ample time for exploring the beautiful island setting of The Bahamas and the exciting Atlantis Resort. The balanced schedule allows for enjoyment of the locale as well as continued discussion relating to the conference topics.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this conference, you should be able to:

Discuss the impact of a standardized nomenclature on EFM interpretation

Identify current management issues related to high risk pregnancy conditions such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, isoimmunization, maternal renal failure and thrombophilias

Identify the steps to developing an individualized program for treating issues such as weight management and smoking cessation in the pregnant patient

Outline strategies to reduce malpractice risk and improve patient safety

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION SESSIONS
Small group discussions will be held Friday afternoon. These "Round Table Discussion Sessions" are organized to provide an opportunity for greater participant/faculty interaction and to discuss subjects related to your particular area of interest. You are encouraged to bring cases or issues you are confronting in your clinical practice to discuss during these sessions.
