CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
Our 13th Annual Summer Conference on Primary Care Medicine is designed to provide physicians, nurse practitioners,
nurses, and physician assistants
with current information on many
of the crucial issues facing today's primary care provider as well as offer practical solutions to
problems that can be
immediately applied in a
primary care practice. In addition
to the didactic lectures, which will present current diagnostic and
management information, ample
time has been allotted for
participant feedback and
interaction.
Topics in this year's conference have been selected based on
extensive target audience needs assessment data, clinical expert input, and primary care practice guidelines.
An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Faculty members are committed to providing participants with current and practical information which can be immediately applied to office practice.
This exciting conference will provide you with an opportunity to share
current ideas with colleagues from across the country in a stimulating, relaxing, and informal environment
of Yosemite.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this

several common orthopedic
dilemmas
Cite current management
options for lipid disorders and
hypertension
Diagnose and treat various
thyroid disorders
Differentiate between and
diagnose heart disease dilemmas
Diagnose and treat common
dermatologic complaints

This educational activity
was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME and ANCC essentials and
standards relating to
continuing medical and
nursing education.
Symposia Medicus is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Symposia Medicus is accredited as a provider of continuing
education for nurses by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).
CONTINUING
EDUCATION CREDIT
Physicians
Symposia Medicus designates this educational activity for a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Application for CME credit has been made with the American Academy of Family Physician (AAFP).
Physician Assistants
The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
Nurse Practitioners/Nurses
The ANCC contact hours awarded for the completion of this
educational activity are 18.
Provider is also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP2335, for 21.6 contact hours.
Pharmacology Credit for Prescriptive Authority
A maximum of 4.25 hours
in pharmacology credit for
prescriptive authority may
be earned by attending this
educational conference. Sessions awarding pharmacology credit for prescriptive authority are denoted with an Rx in the
schedule.
Each Participant should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the
educational activity.
Certificates of completion/ credit will be awarded to
participants on-site at the
conclusion of the conference.

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION SESSIONS
Small group sessions will be
held Friday morning. These "Round Table Discussion Sessions," organized to provide an opportunity for greater
participant/faculty interaction, will give you an opportunity to discuss subjects relating to your particular areas of interest. You are encouraged to bring cases
or issues you are confronting in your clinical practice to discuss during these sessions.
