Our 18th Annual Winter Conference on Clinical Issues in OB/GYN has been designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses who face ever-increasing challenges in the clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in OB/GYN. The primary goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout sessions, and question and answer sessions.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based and practical information to participants.

You are sure to enjoy our 18th Annual Winter Conference on Clinical Issues in OB/GYN while sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the country in the beautiful setting of Hawaii.

Aloha! Hawaii’s Big Island isn’t just big, it’s still growing. The Big Island of Hawaii is the youngest island in the Hawaiian chain and is also by far the biggest, providing a vast canvas of environments to discover a variety of unrivaled natural wonders. This is the home of one of the world’s most active volcanoes (Kilauea), the tallest sea mountain in the world at more than 30,000 feet (Mauna Kea), the largest by volume volcano in the world (Mauna Loa) and the largest park in the state (Hawaii Volcanoes National Park). All but two of the world’s climate zones generate everything from lush rain forests to volcanic deserts, snow-capped mountaintops to beautiful black sand beaches.

Situated on the sunny Kohala Coast, the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel defines Big Island luxury. Perfectly nestled into the bluffs above the #1-rated Hapuna Beach, the hotel features a contemporary Hawaiian style where guests experience the true essence of Hawaii. The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is located within the beautiful and historic Mauna Kea Resort and is adjacent to its sister property, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Guests at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel are able to use and charge to their room the services and amenities at Mauna Kea.

Each guest room at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel has a private, furnished lanai, with picturesque views of lush gardens, partial ocean, or full ocean views. Superb breakfast buffets are served in an indoor-outdoor area, while lunch and dinner options include a seafood grill, a steakhouse and sushi bar, and a poolside bar. Our group room rates include full buffet breakfast for two, as well as complimentary internet, self-parking, and admission to the fitness center for each day of your stay.

Water activities are plentiful at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, from swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving, to sailing, or deep-sea fishing. Pamper yourself at the Hapuna Spa or spend an afternoon golfing on the 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. Enjoy dining at the many varied restaurants located near the hotel.

The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel’s beautiful and relaxing setting, combined with our exciting 18th Annual Winter Conference on Clinical Issues in OB/GYN makes this an opportunity not to be missed.
